Have you ever have one of those day's when you know that you need to get up and go to work but you just don't have the energy because your not feeling well? Well, that was me for two days in a roll. I thought to myself I have to stay up after taking my son to school but then when I get home I tell myself I will lay down for an hour to rest. Then what happens an hour turns into two to three hours then my day is wasted. This does not help with my business since I run my own business. I am an Avon Independent Sales Representative, so I need to be out there taking some orders and helping more people do what I do. I have to sell over a certain amount each campaign and I wasn't sure I was going to do it. The bad thing was I kept dwelling on that and Satan just kept bringing it up that I wasn't going to do it, but God just kept telling me trust me. Well, I thought to myself okay if I am going to get that certain amount it is only with God's help. I put my trust in him and I got that amount. I am thanking and praising God for what he does and is doing in my life.
As I sit here I was thinking I had a conversation with my friend on Tuesday night about trusting God. WOW! If we just trust him look what he can do. Who is going to trust God now?

Book Review of "CROSSING VALUES" by Carrie Daws
I had the
privilege of reading “Crossing Values” by Carrie Daws. It is a short read with
only one hundred and sixty pages with some chapters only being one page (which
I have never seen before). The book is a Christian romantic fiction that focuses on emotional and family healing;
I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to read romantic fiction but
keeps you in some expense. It is about a young girl Amber who is avoiding the
skeletons in her closet by running around the Northwest and ending in a small
town Crossing, Oregon. As she was slowing making her way east she was
job-hopping every few weeks, so no one could get close to her. During the
winter while looking for work Frank Yager offers her a job at the families logging
company, has she decides to take the job she realizes that the family is different
from any she’s ever known before. As Amber watches the family interacts she has
more questions than she has answers not knowing if they are genuine or not. As
Amber is getting to know Frank, Faye, and Peter and that they have gone through
their own tragedy she slowing lets her guard down and start letting them get
closer to her.
I really enjoyed reading
this book because it not only kept me in suspense of why Amber was running but
it showed you how others can love someone even if they don’t know them. This
book shows you what true faith is and how to rely on God. It also shows that
once Amber can trust the Yager family and they share things about God, she sees
true love that the family shows her and that God wants a closer relationship
with her and not have her run away from him. I am looking forward to the sequel of “Ryan’s
Crossing”. You can find this book on
Amazon.com for the price of $11.99.

An Amazing Weekend
Hope
everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had the most amazing time, my husband and I
went camping up by Lake Tahoe even though it was in the 30’s at night it was
great. The scenery was beautiful. It let me dwell on what God has done for us.
At one point my husband and I were talking about how God created everything for
us and some people don’t appreciate it. He told me he looks at it differently
now, before he was saved he thought it took years to make everything now he
looks at it that God created all of it in 7 days. The place we went camping
they cooked for you and the food was great. You could tell the guy that cooked
appreciated what he did. Once we got back to the reality of life it makes me
want to go back, just to look at the scenery and be in the quietness of what
God has created. I keep thinking I need to just find a place near home with the
quietness and the beautiful scenery that I can enjoy.
So
do you have a special place you like to go and sit in the quietness and listen
to God?
It's funny when you are out and about you have things that you want to write down of what you heard from God and others or of things you have seen in a blog, but once you start writing in the blog you forget what you wanted to write.

Things on My Mind
I
have been busy these past two weeks. Last Monday went to a concert and seen Alan Pedersen. He told us something that has stuck with me ever since. Since we have lost a child I never thought of this, he told us... "Once you come to the fork in the road later in life you will ask yourself one question, "Do you want to remember the death of a child or do you want to remember the time you had with your child?"
The
rest of that week went by and then I was starting to relax because of the
weekend. Sunday evening service was a great one God was moving. I went up for prayer for a
healing because my ankle had been hurting all day. It has given me pain since I
had fallen down a flight of stairs about 3-4 years ago, I thank the Lord I
didn’t break it. Anyway after I went and sat back down the pain was gone, let’s
just say I was praising the Lord. I thank the gentleman that prayed for me and
he told me to not thank him but thank the Lord. I told I have been, he told me
that Satan tries to tell you that the pain is still there to just keep saying
that God healed you. Well, sure enough on Monday the pain was starting again
and I started thanking God and telling Satan that my God has healed me and the pain stopped.
This
week has been busy, because of trying to get everyone their Avon orders delivered
before my hubby and I leave for our camping trip tomorrow. Because I have been
having a stressful time these past weeks the Lord brought to my attention that
he is my strength. He said there comes a time in life when you fall and you don’t
want to get up (which I have been there many of times) but that is when God reminded me, “I
have always been by your side when you have fallen and I have helped you up,
now rely on my strength because that is what it is there for.” Those are some
powerful words when I need his strength to get me through the day. I hope
everyone gets plenty of rest this weekend.

Things to Ponder!
Today
was a good day spent it with my hubby. My hubby and I went to drop off someone’s
order for Avon. Then went home because he had to go to work then took the
motorcycle to the church so we could help with the garage sale. We had fun
spending it with our church family. Now I am sitting here relaxing pondering on
the last couple of days. I have been thinking about the article I read in our
local community newspaper about the 10 year old girl with Leukemia that had her
wish delivered from Make A Wish Foundation. It was a trip for four days to
Universal Studios and Disneyland with her family. It breaks my heart when I
hear about people getting different forms of cancer especially children. It
made me smile just knowing that these children that get their wish after
spending all that time in the hospital gets time not to think about their
illness just for that little a bit of time. The article stated that Make a Wish
arranges over 350 wishes a year and refuses to leave any unfulfilled. That is
so great. In the article is said that Disneyland grants the foundation with
free entrance tickets to the foundation for these families that have been
referred to Make A Wish from their doctor. The foundation said that airline
tickets are so expensive, that most demand donation is air miles. They said
donating unused miles is a fantastic way for people to grant a wish that
doesn’t cost them anything, also the miles don’t expire either. So if you have ever
thought about donating to a foundation this is the one that really could use
it, also if you have miles that you don’t use they could use it.
This makes me think that sometimes we think
our life is hard and we can’t deal with the daily struggles. Our lives are easy
compared to these children and their families. I thank Jesus every day for
giving me life, breathe, and everything else. Just knowing he is with me daily
helps me see that life can get easier as long as I let him control my life. This
sometimes is a daily struggle because I am human and I always want to control
my life. But I do realize that me controlling my life verses him control my
life is a lot harder because I always mess things up. So are you letting him
control your life?

Last Couple of Days Was Great
I have had a great day these last couple of days. Went shopping with my mom and dad yesterday. It was a great experience, was getting my dad some new shoes and he put them on and wanted to stand up and walk in them (he had a stroke about three years ago so walking is hard for him). He didn't have his cane, but he got up walked a couple feet without his cane and without holding onto anything. He was so excited, so was I.
Yesterday, made my phone calls for my business, and got some orders was so excited. I am hoping to get a couple more before my order goes in, in the morning.
Now just relaxing and thinking about all the blessings God has bestow on me these last couple months. I was doing a study today on God's love for us. Just knowing that God lives in us and has given us his Spirit, and if anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And knowing this we can rely on the love God has for us. I am thankful for God's love for me.
Tonight we had chili for dinner but since our oven isn't working I though why not try making cornbread in the microwave and guess what it worked. But I do prefer them in the oven.

Be Anxious About Nothing!
Wow, today was a good day. I had a relaxing day but there is that anxiousness in my Spirit for some reason, but I keep trying to tell myself that God is in control of my life and the one verse that runs through my head is Philippians 4:6... Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Today someone wanted advice from people that have been married over 25 years on how to make their marriage last. So I told her that my husband and I have been married 25 years and we met on a blind date set up by my best friend (and yes she is still a friend). The one thing that helped us during our marriage is to talk and not yell. Also we go out with our friends and we have never told each other that we couldn't do anything. Talking is the most important thing in a marriage. (I have seen/heard of so many marriages fall apart due to no communication and from losing a child due to death during a marriage, we lost our first born son (will write more about this later) and we didn't let it tear us apart in fact we grew closer. Just knowing that we each was hurting because we both lost him not just me). So let me stress communication is the most important thing in a marriage.
May everyone's evening be a relaxing one.
